An armed gunman attacked an Aurora, Colorado, movie theater early this morning, throwing tear gas before opening fire on the audience and killing 12 and wounding more than 40. The movie theater was showing the new Batman movie, “The Dark Knight Rises.”
The suspect has been identified as James Holmes, 24.
In a heartbreaking twist, one of the victims in Colorado is Jessica Ghawi (known on Twitter as @JessicaRedfield) who narrowly escaped the mass shooting at a Toronto Mall just last month. She documented her Eaton Center shooting thoughts on her blog.
