Two people, including the suspected gunman, have been killed and five are injured after a series of shootings in and around Gainesville, Florida yesterday.
The first shooting was reported around 4 p.m. local time and others followed shortly after.
It seems that there have been quite a lot of these shootings in the news lately. Not sure if it’s because there have actually been more, or if they’re just being covered more often.

Cpl. Tscharna Senn said the suspect, Clifford Miller Jr., died from what appears to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Prior to turning the gun on himself, he is thought to have shot six people in Gainesville and the surrounding Alachua County.
One of the six is dead, while the remaining five are being treated for injuries that range from minor to serious, said Senn. All of the victims were adults.
She added it was too early to say what connection, if any, the victims might have to one another.
