Casey Anthony: Trial Would Take Weeks
Judge Belvin Perry today stated that selected jurors might be sequestered for a trial lasting several weeks.
Not sure that I’m surprised. High profile cases don’t end overnight. I was thinking more like months, rather than weeks!
From the Associated Press:
Circuit Judge Belvin Perry held his first pretrial hearing Friday since taking the case, offering details of what future jurors could expect. Another judge removed himself from the case recently at the request of Anthony’s attorneys.
A trial scheduled for May 2011 is expected to last four to six weeks. Another week will be needed for the sentencing phase if there’s a conviction.

Interesting…. Judge Perry appears to know enough already to be confident in puting a Time Frame on this Trial. I too, thought it would end-up taking much longer. Looks like (at least at this point) he’s sticking with the May date though. Welp, we’ve waited this long. At least the Ball is FINALLY rolling.

Yesterday outside the court house doors, Dave Knechel positioned himself with the press, and yelled questions to Baez. He had his trusty video camera, but does not have a microphone YET! This fool caught the attention of Jane VM as causing a broohaha and was labeled an angry blogger. He was angry the press wanted to interview Baez and the Anthonys, and not him! Caylee who? It is all about ME, ME, ME! Look at me! Listen to me! He is making a fool of himself and doesn’t have the sense to realize it. One day he is going to go too far and someone is going to squash him like the bug he is.

Lona1, I wasn’t there of course, but can you explain who said he was outside and
yelled questions at Baez. i really would like to know if Jane VM was actually there to hear all that as it is said she reported. Who is cat in the hat, because you quote them, is this another reporter or anchor? Why does this one person get on so many nerves I don’t think I have seen him on any other persons blogs saying anything about Baez or negative to anyone else.
