Casey Anthony to Fire Jose Baez

January 11, 2012

Reports are surfacing today that Casey Anthony is planning to fire her lead attorney Jose Baez.

The New York Post is reporting that Anthony is angry over the fallout of her case, and thinks Jose Baez hasn’t done enough to secure a sit-down interview with a TV network on her behalf. This is the main reason that she wants to get rid of him.

From The New York Post

Sources tell us Anthony is furious that Baez has been basking in the limelight and rubbing shoulders with top TV talent, but hasn’t nailed down a big interview deal for her.

Anthony’s original attorney, Cheney Mason, will take over as her representative to the media, and sources say an announcement is imminent.

“Casey doesn’t want to be reading that Jose’s working on all of these deals on her behalf,” a source said, adding that Anthony avidly pores over online reports about herself and her camera-hogging lawyer. “She thinks he’s using her name as a meal ticket,” the source said.

January 11, 2012

A psychiatrist says in newly released depositions that he could find no evidence that Casey Anthony suffers from a mental illness.

From MyFoxOrlando:

Dr. Jeffrey Danziger and Dr. William Weitz both conducted psychological evaluations on Anthony and before her murder trial, both doctors were deposed on what she told them regarding the death of her 2-year-old daughter Caylee in 2008 and alleged sexual abuse by her father.

The depositions were done on April 7, 2011 and April 13, 2011 and were ordered sealed by Chief Judge Belvin Perry until the end of the trial. The Orlando Sentinel filed a motion with the court to have the depositions unsealed.

One of the psychiatrists, Danziger, says the results of a psychological test that Anthony took were normal, something he regarded as surprising.

Casey Anthony: Most-Searched News Story in 2011

November 30, 2011

Well…it appears that Casey Anthony was the most searched news story of 2011.

I guess I’m not surprised. Quite a few people stopped by hear to keep up with the trial.

From Time Magazine:

According to figures released by Bing, the most searched news story of the year in 2011 was the “Casey Anthony Trial,” outpacing “Osama Bin Laden Death.”  When it comes to the Internet, sensation is king.

And while celebrity deaths were (unfortunate) hot searches—“Michael Jackson Trial/Conrad Murray” was seventh on the list and “Any Winehouse Death” was fifth—natural disasters actually ruled the web. The popularity of “Hurricane Irene” (third), “Japan Earthquake/Tsunami” (fourth) and “Joplin Tornado” (sixth) illustrates our desire to know just how bad other people’s lives have turned.

November 4, 2011

Apparently, Casey Anthony is still unemployed and has no income,  this according to the report from her most recent probation check-in. The good news is that it looks like she’s taking part in classes or therapy!

This calls for a classic from The Ramones!!!!!

From the Orlando Sentinel:

According to corrections officials, Anthony told her probation officer that she has had no source of income within the last 30 days and remains unemployed.

However, for the first time since her probation began, Anthony indicated that she is taking classes — though it remains unclear what type she is attending.
