Casey Anthony: Drugs Used to Put Caylee to Sleep
According to documents released today, a jail inmate claims Casey Anthony would sometimes use drugs to put Caylee to sleep so that she could go out with friends.
From the Associated Press:
Maya Derkovic told detectives she was friendly with Casey Anthony in the Orange County Jail and that the 24-year-old mother confided in her about drugging her daughter so she could go out, according to a partial transcript the inmate’s interview with investigators. The transcript, along with other documents, was released by the State Attorney’s Office in Orlando.
A spokeswoman for Anthony’s legal team didn’t immediately respond to an e-mail and phone call.
Anthony told another inmate at the jail that Caylee had trouble sleeping and that Anthony would use medicine to put her to sleep, according to the documents. Robyn Adams said in a full transcript of her police interview that Anthony used antihistamines on her daughter. However, a police summary of Adams’ exchange with investigators says that Anthony used chloroform.
From CNN:
A woman who befriended Casey Anthony in jail told investigators that Anthony confided she would “knock out” her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee, so she could go out at night while the child slept, according to a police report.
The inmate, identified in the document as Maya Derkovic, of Ocala, Florida, told police in a jailhouse interview that she used to talk with Anthony through the jail’s ventilation system. She said Anthony told her she regretted having a child so early in life, and gave three different versions of the events surrounding Caylee’s disappearance.
Another inmate, Robyn Adams, of Altamonte Springs, Florida, told investigators that Anthony said she used chloroform on Caylee to help the child sleep, the police report said. The mention of chloroform is significant because investigators found evidence consistent with human decomposition and traces of chloroform in the trunk of a car that belonged to Casey Anthony after Caylee disappeared in June 2008.
From CBS News:
Casey Anthony told a fellow inmate details about the death of her two-year-old daughter, Caylee Anthony, that only authorities knew. She also told fellow inmates she would use drugs on Caylee to get the toddler to sleep so she could go out and party.
The explosive allegations are contained in some 500 pages of new evidence from witnesses and detectives in a report on Caylee’s killing released by the Florida State Attorney’s Office. The report includes damning letters to the inmates, and word on conversations she supposedly had with those inmates, reports CBS News Correspondent Betty Nguyen.

Can anyone please stick a fork in this Biotch so Caylee can finally have Justice? What a waste of taxpayer’s $ as Casey totally enjoyed her infamous status. May Casey Anthony rot in Hell.

You’re not the only one losing your Mind…. There was so much Information and Details and Discussion about all the stuff contained in Casey’s “Letters” tonight on Jane Velez-Mitchell and Nancy Grace, I should’ve taken NOTES! While the above Text reads that the Chloroform usage came from the Inmate’s
“statement” alone, I’m at least POSITIVE that I heard Kathy Belich and others confirm that it IS in-fact written by Casey on one of the Pages, but, unfortunately, I can’t help you with “Where”. The reason I’m so sure though, is because they actually
“Read” a part of that Page where Casey wrote that she got the Chloroform from her Mom, who brought it Home from Work. HOWEVER— this last part would actually be a Lie— as Chloroform has not been available or been kept in any Medical Facility for many years. It would have to be the “Computer Searches” for the
“making” of Chloroform that would be the REAL source of Casey having it at all. Being a “Pathological Liar”, God only knows if any, or just how much, of everything she wrote is True, but, in any case, she herself put a shitload of stuff “In Writing”, and she can’t change it, go back on it, or try to say that someone else used Sleep-inducing Drugs on Caylee. This, in itself— not to mention the Chloroform-saturation in her Car, and the Bottle found near Caylee’s remains which contained traces of it (and, of course, the Computer)— puts Casey as the only one who WOULD have “Drugged” her Daughter. No matter what The Defense says, this is really pretty-damaging. And now I’ll say something that I’m sure will start a whole new Discussion, although it’s honestly not my Intention— Just my opinion, as always…… Although Casey knew exactly what she was doing, and although it was deliberate each and every time she “made” Caylee go to sleep, I think Caylee suffered an Accidental Overdose. I think the Duct-Tape came later, in a state of “Panic” and in order to make her Story of a “Kidnapping” appear more believable, and the “Heart Sticker” was placed in a fleeting Momment of Guilt and Remorse. After that, Casey went “Mental” with the all the Partying, and then she kicked-into High-Gear with the Cover-Up, as there was no way she intended to admit she had caused it (even if “Accidental”, she knew the Consequences she’d be facing of doing such a thing to a Child). I have to add one more thing here…. there are only THREE times we’ve seen Casey GENUINELY “Break-down” and “Cry”— The Footage of her in the turquoise
Jail-Jumpsuit when she was FIRST-Arrested (she was even “Shaking”); the Jailhouse Video of her talking with Cindy, when she was asked what Cindy should tell Caylee (she could hardly contain herself and stumbled-through her response, which is not “Ordinary” of her notorious Quick-thinking); and when she was listening to The Prosecutor’s gruesome and detailed account of what Caylee went through (the one where she told Andrea Lyon to “make him Stop”). It’s these three Instances that I keep going back to, as being: #1, the “Emotional Release” of the bottled-up Trauma and Dilerium of the past 31-Days; #2, the sudden “shift” in conversation to having to think about “relaying a heartfelt Message” to Caylee, while undoubtedly knowing she was Dead; and #3, Hearing “Reality” Loud
and Clear, and having to Re-live it. To me, just watching these three particular events say EVERYthing about those 31 Days, and, despite all the other Evidence which may be more “Concrete” in one’s Eyes, they scream her Guilt…. but I don’t think “On Purpose”. I’ve changed my Mind back-and-forth a few times already between “Intentional” and
“Accidental”, but either way, Casey IS solely Responsible, and I will be SO glad when she realizes that her “Plan” of buying an RV and Traveling the Country with her new-found Jailhouse “Friend” when they get out, AIN’T gonna happen— EVER.

I believe it was a little girl who got in the pool when she was left unattended. Casey was a young mom that still wanted to have fun as other girls her age. She used bad judgement for leaving her daughter home alone. However, she loved her little girl. This was a terrible accident, and she will live with this for the rest of her life. If you are judging her and want her to suffer,… that will happen.
I personally hope she is found NOT GUILTY .
