Accused Craigslist Killer Left Message

Philip Markoff, the accused Craigslist killer, apparently wrote his ex-fiancee’s name in what appeared to be blood on the wall of his jail cell before taking his own life.

Markoff was charged last year with the murder and attempted robbery of Julissa Brisman at the Copley Marriott Hotel in Boston.

From CNN:

Markoff was found dead in his jail cell in Boston on Sunday morning, Suffolk County District Attorney Daniel Conley said. The evidence collected so far indicates the onetime medical student killed himself by cutting himself multiple times with a makeshift scalpel crafted from a pen and a piece of metal, Conley told reporters.

The words “Megan” and “pocket” were scrawled on the wall when he was found, Conley said. Megan appears to refer to Markoff’s former fiancee, Megan McAllister, but investigators had not divined the meaning of “pocket,” the prosecutor said.

“We’re still studying that,” he said.

My God, will this poor girl have a moments peace with this incredibly toxic person? It wasn’t bad enough that he was leading a double life, Med Student by day and a Sex Maniac murderer by night. She stood by him when the case first broke…claiming he was innocent and they had the wrong man, then gradually finding out he was GUILTY….can you imagine finding that out?

Now he left her name imprinted in blood on the wall of his cell…and his suicide on the very day they were to be married.

I pray she finds the strength to get past this tragedy for her, her family and I might also add the family of Philip Markoff.

  2. Diana Says:

The fiancee will have to take strength from the fact that she NEVER married him! She could have been a victim of his and he may have gotten by with it. I feel so sorry for everyone who ever knew him.

I wonder if NOW they (the family and fiancee) are seeing any red flags that they never even thought odd before they arrested him?

  3. midget48 Says:

well, boo hoo hoo. who cares what he wrote? i feel bad about his girlfriend, but, honestly, i think that was just his way of getting the last word in. i do believe it was done out of malice. jmo after what he did, i do not feel any empathy for him. saved the taxpapers a lot of money. i know the victims’ families are not shedding any tears over his suicide.

I would make sure the bastard didn’t have the last word or thought in my head somehow.
    POS!

  5. Honeydog Says:

Hmmmmmm…. Wonder if the word “Pocket” was to direct his Ex (since hers was the only other Word on the Wall) to something he wants her to look-for and find.
This is kind of exciting. Where’s “Columbo” when you need him?!!

  6. zelda Says:

I don’t think it’s exciting….I think it’s sick and manipulative and exactly what a crazy mind wants people to play into.

  7. Honeydog Says:

Perhaps, *Zelda*. But you never know. Even “Sick” Minds are capable of puting-out astonishing Revelations sometimes. It’s happened. Guess we’ll see.

  8. zelda Says:

I don’t see your point Honeydog.

  9. Honeydog Says:

I was meaning that, while you may be Right that his Words on the Wall add-up to sheer nothing, it’s also
possible that there IS something to it. Just because he was “Crazy” and “Sick” doesn’t mean that what he wrote is. As I said, the “Pocket” part COULD have some particular meaning to his Ex, and/or be an “Instruction”. Remember Charles Manson?… He directed his Followers to write certain Words on the Walls after commiting the Murders. He’s as Crazy and Sick as they come, but, inasmuch as those Words were a Mystery to Authorities at first, it was later Discovered that there was a clear and purposeful Message behind them. That’s all I was saying.

  10. zelda Says:

OH well that was obvious……My point is that those kids of minds do those kinds of things to control others in some way.

Sociopaths are not stupid…but they count on us being so.

  11. Honeydog Says:

… and double OH to you. Sorry, I misunderstood. Right. Got it now!
