If you’re looking for something fun to do with the kids this Halloween, and you’re anywhere near San Tomas Expressway, Winchester Boulevard and Payne Avenue in San Jose, be sure to check out the Spaich Scary House! Follow the link to join their fan page on Facebook.
My kids have loved this place since we moved back to California in 2006. It’s only a block away from grandma’s house and we have to take a walk past it at least once a day so the kids can see “Achmed” the skeleton (because they think he looks like Achmed the Dead Terrorist from Jeff Dunham) and all of the other ghoulish characters. The kids are very much looking forward to this year since they were not able to celebrate Halloween last year (family wedding).
This year’s house is set to be the best yet with a garage full of surprises. The Spaich Scary House will be open Friday, October 30 from 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday, October 31 from 7-10 p.m.
If you’re walking the neighborhood and coming from Payne Avenue, turn onto Spaich and it will be approximately two blocks up on your right.
Watch out for me! I’ll be the one with the two kids and a chihuahua.
