Casey Anthony: Rob Lowe to Star in Lifetime Movie

May 4, 2012

It appears that Rob Lowe is returning to Lifetime to play Florida prosecutor Jeff Ashton in the new flick “Prosecuting Casey Anthony.”

From Entertainment Weekly:

Rob Lowe is quickly becoming Lifetime’s go-to guy for sordid crime trial docudramas. After his turn this past January as Drew Peterson in Drew Peterson: Untouchable, Lowe will next star in the network’s upcoming movie Prosecuting Casey Anthony as Jeff Ashton, the prosecutor in the Casey Anthony trial.

The film is based on a book by Ashton and according to the network “will examine what the prosecution got right, what they got wrong and why Ashton remains convinced of Casey Anthony’s guilt.”

Drew Peterson Engaged…Again

December 18, 2008

According to his publicist, Drew Peterson, the retired Illinois police sergeant who gained national attention after he was suspected in his third wife’s disappearance, is engaged to be married again. And what a great catch he is!

From the Associated Press:

Publicist Glenn Selig says 54-year-old Drew Peterson proposed within the last week after dating the woman for about four months.

Selig says the woman is 23 — the same age as Stacy Peterson when she disappeared in October 2007.

Illinois state police call Peterson a suspect in the disappearance of his wife but no charges have been filed against the former officer from the Chicago suburb of Bolingbrook

Peterson claims his wife left him for another man.

Selig wouldn’t give any details about Peterson’s new fiance and Peterson wouldn’t comment.
