Casey Anthony: First Video Diary

January 5, 2012

Casey Anthony’s “first video diary,” which was apparently recorded back in October, appeared on YouTube this week. But, her lawyer says she did not put it there.

George and Cindy Anthony said earlier today that they’re concerned that the video diary is circulating online because it could put her in danger.

“It’s just a little surreal how much things have changed since July and how many things haven’t changed,” Anthony says in the 4 ½ minute video, which aired on TODAY Thursday morning.

NBC News confirmed that it is Anthony on camera. But one of her defense attorneys, J. Cheney Mason, while confirming she is the subject of the video, told the Orlando Sentinel newspaper Thursday that the video was ”unauthorized” and “inappropriate” and that his office is investigating how the video got before the eyes of the general public.

Casey Anthony: “The Happiest I’ve Been in a Long Time”

February 19, 2009

This is what’s written in an entry by Casey Anthony in a diary submission written June 21st, just days after the disappearance of her two year old daughter, Caylee Anthony.

I wrote about this last night but am still curious as to the date of the the diary submission. Was this in 2003? Was it in 2008? What is she talking about? Could it be about “boy” problems? Or is it about the death of Caylee?

I’d like to hear more about what you think. What is Casey talking about and when was this diary entry written? Too many questions, too few answers. We’ve seen the crime scene photos as well as all the other evidence.

Will this be enough to convict Casey?

From People Magazine:

“I have no regrets, just a bit worried,” Anthony wrote in a journal entry dated June 21. “I completely trust my own judgment I know that I made the right decision. I just hope that the end justifies the means.”

The handwritten diary continues, “This is the happiest that I have been in a very long time.”

Casey Anthony’s June 21 Diary Entry (2003 or 2008?)

February 18, 2009

The following is a transcript of Casey Anthony’s disturbing diary entry from June 21 from WESH.

*Thanks Detwill39 for the link to the photo of the diary itself from WFTV*

The entry was released with other evidence by the state attorney’s office today.

I read on the Orlando Sentinel that this diary entry was actually from 2003.

Does anyone know if this is when it was actually written? Could it be that the ’03 stands for something other than the year?

From WESH:

I have no regrets, just a bit worried. I just want for everything to work out okay.

I completely trust my own judgement & know that I made the right decision. I just hope that the end justifies the means.

I just want to know what the future will hold for me. I guess I will soon see — This is the happiest that I have been in a very long time.

I hope that my happiness will continue to grow — I’ve made new friends that I really like. I’ve surrounded myself with good people — I am finally happy.

Let’s just hope that it doesn’t change.

From the Orlando Sentinel:

Among the pictures released are several taken of a handwritten diary entry that talked about being happy, having no regrets and hoping “the end justifies the means.”

It’s unclear who wrote the entry and what the writer was talking about. The page is dated June 21, but the facing page has ’03 written in the corner.

Mackenzie said it’s obvious the writing was done in 2003. She said it’s an “appalling use of pre-trial release of documents to misrepresent” Casey Anthony’s state of mind.
