Casey Anthony: “Boobs” Take Center Stage…

June 1, 2011

I can’t remember the last time I used the word “boobs” in a headline of a post…if ever 🙂

Anyways…CNN ‘In Session’ anchor Vinnie Politan apparently forgot that his microphone was on during a live broadcast on Tuesday and in reference to accused murderer Casey Anthony, uttered the words “the only thing you are going to see are her boobs sticking out.”

D’oh! Here’s the video:

From the Daily Mail:

For the former attorney and journalist made the cardinal sin of broadcasting by forgetting his microphone was on during a live report.

On Tuesday, Politan was covering the high-profile trial of Casey Anthony, who is accused of murdering her two-year-old daughter and dumping her body in a swamp, when he made a rather crass comment about her ‘boobs’.

The comment was made during a particularly gruelling day-long testimony of Cindy Anthony, Casey’s mother – in which she broke down several times as she described her daughter’s actions surrounding the disappearance of her child.

Casey Anthony: Back to Court We Go

June 1, 2010

The defense team for accused murderer Casey Anthony is hoping that Judge Belvin Perry will rule in their favor on four different motions this afternoon.

From the Orlando Sentinel:

Casey Anthony‘s defense team will return to court this afternoon to argue several motions, including another battle about death-penalty issues.

The State Attorney’s Office wants to execute Anthony if she is found guilty of killing her daughter.

Orange-Osceola Chief Judge Belvin Perry is also expected to hear other defense arguments, including her legal team’s request to seal records showing who visits Anthony at the Orange County Jail.

Her team also wants more information about forensic evidence obtained so far.

From WESH:

The big motion on the table is that Anthony’s attorneys want Judge Belvin Perry to force the state to give more specifics on why they are seeking the death penalty. At the last hearing, the defense said the state’s answer didn’t cut it.

Also, Anthony’s defense will argue the previous judge’s ruling about an illegally made tape-recording of an investigator interview should be reversed. The recording made by a volunteer searcher who says he searched the woods on Suburban Drive. He claims Caylee’s remains were not there.

Casey Anthony: More Courtroom Action Today

June 1, 2009

More than 200 pages of transcripts from interviews with two Orange County Jail officials were filed in court today in the case against accused murderer Casey Anthony.

From the Orlando Sentinel:

Lt. Tammy Unser and Sgt. Billy Richardson were questioned last month about what happened at the jail on Dec. 11, the day the remains of Anthony’s 2-year-old daughter were found less than a mile from her family home.

Unser and Richardson were questioned by Anthony’s defense team, including Jose Baez and Linda Kenney Baden. Prosecutor Linda Drane Burdick also was present.

Unser testified that a commander at the Orange County Sheriff’s Office instructed jail officials to take Anthony to the medical facility where she could see the news reports on the television.
