Casey Anthony: The Movie

It appears that Lifetime is setting the stage for a possible TV movie based on the new book Imperfect Justice, Prosecuting Casey Anthony by retired Florida prosecutor Jeff Ashton.

From Variety:

Fox TV Studios has optioned the rights to Ashton’s memoir, “Imperfect Justice: Prosecuting Casey Anthony,” which chronicles the three years he spent trying to convict Anthony of the murder of her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee.

Anthony was acquitted by a Florida jury in July following a trial that made international headlines. The telepic aims to tell the story of the sordid murder case from the perspective of the prosecution team.

Would not watch it if I was paid~ Which is all that Jeff Ashton wants is PAID..the guy was an idiot in court, lies, lies, and more lies, along with Linda DRAIN~~~ I WOULD watch a movie that was told by CASEY ANTHONY! That is who everyone needs and wants to hear from. Give her the money so she can get the leaches off of her back!

Jeff Ashton was the hour-long Guest on Jane Velez-Mitchell’s show (HLN) the other night with some real Jaw-dropping “behind the Scenes of the Case” revelations. The greatest were the lies Casey told to her three Shrinks while Incarcerated, upon which The Defense based their Strategy, and were even more outrageous and disgusting than those we knew. He called Jose Baez “Underhanded” (not anything we DIDN’T know) and referred to Casey as the biggest Liar he has ever encountered in his 30+ years of Lawyering. I still can’t help but be Infuriated that she, of all people, is out there somewhere BREATHING. I’m looking forward to reading Mr. Ashton’s book, as I know it ISN’T full of Lies, and he absolutely deserves every Penny he gains from it. As for this “Lifetime Movie”, since it’s from the Prosecution’s perspective, I say the more Casey Anthony is exposed for what she is, the better… and SHE deserves it.

  4. Hilde Says:

Kudos to Mr. Ashton, I wish him Success with the Book and the Movie.
The Prosecution tried their Best with what they were allowed to present in the Trial, to get Justice for the Victim Caylee Marie.
As we all know this Case is a perfect Example for an Imperfect Justice.
Like Mr. Ashton mentioned not all criminal Cases will turn out the Way they should despite of overwhelming Evidence there will not always be a Conviction and the Perpetrator will walk free.
Imperfect Justice is the perfect Title for his Book, any one following the Anthony Case from the Beginning would agree with that.
