The Big Show Presents: An Introduction to Billy the Greek

…and now for the first time in 10 years…the return of “The Big Show”.

For your background, The Big Show was a radio program that appeared on KSUN 91.5 for more than 3 years featuring yours truly, “The Roaddawg Johnny Kreuz” along with my colleague and good friend “The Bad Ass Brett Anthony”.

The show came to an end back in May of 2001 but only recently have the tapes been discovered and put online for all of the world to hear. We always had a blast…that’s for sure!

Mind you, I did much of the writing for the show and created the many characters who appeared including “Billy the Greek” who became a weekly staple on the show. Let’s put it this way, he was created to be the prototypical “male chauvinist” and when you listen to the bits that he appeared on, you’d probably believe that the guy really acted this way in real life.

Anyways…here’s the first bit that I’m sharing. This was one of our very first episodes back in 1999 when we introduced Billy the Greek. As a disclaimer…most of the content on ALL of our broadcasts is for adult ears only as we do get a bit edgy/racy so listen at your own risk 🙂

Definitely better than a Casey Anthony radio program would have been 🙂

    I clicked and nothing happened!

Yeah, now I’m reading that baby killer wants the State of Fla. to pay for ALL taxes she owes! What nerve! I’m sure that the honest, hard working tax payers are outraged! Jose Baez is shopping around New York trying to find the highest bidders for her first appearance!
Who wants to hear or see The Face of an Evil Monster??

  2. Kreuzer33 Says:

Strange. Should have just clicked on the video and the audio plays. Very strange 🙂

  3. Honeydog Says:

I honestly didn’t find “Billy” funny in this particular Bit, but the guy who kept busting-out Laughing cracked me up. I’ll have to check-out some of the other Broadcasts….

  4. zelda Says:

    not funny.

  5. Kreuzer33 Says:

My partner always was busting up. Always made me laugh. Whether people find it funny or not…doesn’t matter to me. We had fun and our listeners enjoyed. If this isn’t funny…I can’t imagine what you’d think of the rest of the broadcasts. This was as TAME as we got! 🙂

Seriously…we weren’t regulated by the FCC since the radio station only reached 7 miles and was Internet based. We had some great times. Typically, we got so far out of hand that we even had to censor ourselves…but no matter. We did it for our own enjoyment and got a large following that loved us 🙂 It was nice to be loved! Ha ha! We’re contemplating a return to the airwaves (via the Internet) if that happens…look out world!

I may end up posting all of the clips that are on my YouTube channel but we’ll see. Some are so out there/offensive that I might not. We’ll see. Getting hundreds of hits here so I may do it so our old listeners can find them in one spot.

I always say people have a right to an opinion and i stick by it. If people are easily offended…I say don’t listen because odds are with our clips…someone will be offended. 🙂 🙂 🙂

  6. Honeydog Says:

No no no, it has nothing to do with being easily Offended (I was a loyal listener to Howard Stern’s daily Morning Radio Show)… It’s the “type” of Humor, I suppose. No one was (or is) more “out of Hand” than Howard, but it was the Cleverness and “Quick Wit” of he and his Sidekicks that had me Laughing all the way to Work, no matter what they were talking about or to whom. The stuff they came out with was Hillarious. As I said, different kind of Humor, and, Yes, right.. different Audiences for all! That’s what makes the World go round!

  7. Kreuzer33 Says:

He he! Yeah we were only 18-20 and not professionals. We tried out best at the time 🙂

  8. Kreuzer33 Says:

Man…we’ve been listening to “The King of All Media” for YEARS! We could never live up to his outrageousness but we always thought we could try 🙂 Pure genius!

  9. Honeydog Says:

I’LL say. I always found it amazing how fast some people’s Brains work to be able to bounce-off someone else’s Question or Remark with a really Funny come-back. There’s a Manager like that where I work… No matter what you ask or say, his Responses are always instant clever One-liners that make you bust-out Laughing. Don’t know how they do it…

  10. Kreuzer33 Says:

Yeah. I’ve learned to be that way now too. I’m “that guy” 🙂 We’d be much better now, but we’d incorporate all of our old characters/bits…

  11. One Op Says:

I always think one should try to appreciate the talents and try to understand the expressed thoughts of others if they want to be appreciated themselves but it doesn’t seem to work that way for me.

  12. Honeydog Says:

Hi OneOp~ I’m not completely sure I’m correctly understanding what you said, but if it’s what I think (a personal situation you wrote about in the past?), Remember this… To be understood and appreciated lies with the “Ability” and “Willingness” of the other person to Understand and Appreciate. There are people in this World who don’t possess, or won’t allow themselves to possess, that Ability and/or Willingness, and you can’t, and probably never will, get through to such individuals and be granted the Understanding and/or Appreciation you want and deserve, no matter how much and how hard you try. All you CAN do, is Try. And after you’ve given it everything you’ve got, these are the type of people to whom you can only simply say, “It’s beneath the level of your Comprehension… think what you want if that’s what gives you pleasure”. Not worth your Time, Effort, and Grief over it.

P.S: If I’ve totally misunderstood your Comment, I withdraw to my own embarrassment, and apologize for being an Idiot! LOL?

  13. zelda Says:

Take the word “expectation” from your mental library and toss it away.It works OneOp………
Looks like another good day coming up……….yippieeeeeeeeeeee

  14. One Op Says:

Honeydog, What the hell did you say this morning. It’s ABOVE the level of my comprehension. LOL

    Zelda, I’m working on it…….

  15. Kreuzer33 Says:

You guys are funny. I enjoy all feedback in life. It only helps the next time around, right?

  16. Honeydog Says:

Oh my God, OneOp! I just realized what I wrote! I was first thinking “BENEATH You”, and inadvertently said “Beneath your level…” No.. ABOVE ABOVE ABOVE!!!! (I AM an Idiot!!.. Geeeezzzz). ZELDA! I think I need a good Hit in the Head by one of them ROCKS!!

  17. zelda Says:

    hahahahahaha…………..ooooooo,,you guys are so funny.
    It’s ok……………
Honeydog was thinking faster than her little typing fingers OneOp………
it happens to all of us,,,,,,,,,,,
    lol……………!!

  18. One Op Says:

Don’t worry Honeydog, the funny thing is I didn’t even pick up on the BENEATH my level and that’s just about as low as one can get.
I love it when you people play with me. LOL

  19. Honeydog Says:

Okay then, All is Well. LOL (Lots-O-Love!)
