‘Gilligan’s Island,’ ‘Brady Bunch’ Creator Dies

Sherwood Schwartz, the television writer and producer best known as the creator of “Gilligan’s Island” and “The Brady Bunch,” died Tuesday morning at the age of 94.

From CNN:

Schwartz’s wife of 70 years, Mildred, confirmed to CNN that Schwartz had died after being hospitalized for an infection the past 10 days. She and the couple’s daughter Hope Juber were with Schwartz when “he died peacefully” at about 4 a.m. (7 a.m. ET).

“He had a very good life,” Mildred Schwartz said. “It’s just too bad it had to come to an end.”

Two Shows I grew-up watching, although I was alot more into “Gilligan’s Island” than “The Brady Bunch” (even at a young age, I thought The Brady’s seemed “Corny” and a bit too “Abnormally Perfect”). Anyway, Thanks to Mr. Schwartz for contributing to some good TV Memories of that Era.
