Casey Anthony: Defendant Ill After Caylee Skull Pictures Shown; Trial Recesses Early

Casey Anthony had to be removed from court today after appearing ill as photos of her 2-year-old daughter’s skull were displayed to jurors and the rest of the courtroom.

Anthony did not look up as photos were shown, but while the photos were displayed, they were also described in graphic detail.

From Reuters:

In one particularly stark and close-up photograph displayed on the court’s nearly two dozen monitors and computer screens, Caylee’s skull — with empty eye sockets and silver duct tape covering its nose and mouth like a mask — seemed to stare out at the courtroom.

“Miss Anthony is ill. We’re recessing for the day,” Judge Belvin Perry announced at 3:30 p.m.

From CNN:

After the jurors left, Perry spoke to members of the media in the courtroom, saying that Anthony was ill and that neither the prosecution nor the defense had any comment on the matter. The judge asked reporters not to question either side about it. The details of Anthony’s illness were not given.

During a short break before the announcement, Anthony drank a bottle of water quietly as attorneys spoke together and went back to Perry’s chambers, according to In Session’s Michael Christian. She was escorted out of the courtroom during the break, then brought back in, but lay her head down on her arms at the defense table. She did not stand as the jurors left the courtroom.

Please. Her team instructed her to behave this way, in order to ensure that the jury would REMEMBER how ‘upset’ Casey was with these photos introduced. By ending court early.

What they SHOULD have done, when she feigned nausea, was hand the witch a trash can and leave her there. Then we’d see if she was truly nauseus.

She wasn’t able to actually work up real tears, like she did when she felt her mother had backstabbed her by being the prosecution witness.

If she’d been able to produce THAT kind of emotion and actually begin to vomit in front of the court, then I might believe this actually ‘got’ to her.

Here’s an article from 2009 that alleges Casey was somewhat fixated on pictures of skulls (based on searches on her computer). If that’s true, wonder if she was curious about the different states of decomposition? I have to admit, if I were charged with a crime, I’d hate having my Google searches poured over, I Google a wide range of crazy things I could probably be convicted by some based just on that.

Makes you wonder what would happen if everyone’s Google searches were looked at. I’m sure some things that you wouldn’t even think of might be looked at under scrutiny by others, depending on the situation.

I’m no “Body Language” Expert by any means, but what I noticed that I personally thought was kind of “Telling” was the way Casey “Scrunched-DOWN” her Forehead when she first looked at her Monitor at the onset of the Pictures, before she stopped looking at it altogether. It’s just my own Observation and Opinion of course, but, the way her Forehead was, combined with the look in her Eyes, it wasn’t an “Oh my God.. my poor Caylee.. that’s horrible.. how could anyone do that” kind of Emotional Reaction, but rather an “Awakening” inside herself of “Who” and “What” this person in the Pictures being shown actually WAS to her, a brief Disbelief at the “Reality” of her Daughter’s “State”, a slight showing of personal “Offense” by it, and a Guilty and/or Regretful Look over what she had done. It was like the kind of Expression you get on your Face when something from your Past that you can’t Believe you did and wish you hadn’t, and you Hate it, crosses your Mind from time to time. Up until today, it was everybody “Talking” about this and that.. Caylee was a “Name” being discussed— But when
these Pictures brought her into Focus as a once-Living and Breathing Human Being, I think it Snapped her back from her “Disconnection”, it Hit her and Set-in hard that this is all “Real”… and I have no Doubt that she was both Overwhelmed by it and didn’t want to hear any more. As with the other two ocassions on which she displayed similar Behavior— Jeff Ashton’s graphic and forceful Description of what Caylee must have endured (Preliminary Hearings), and Judge Perry first reading the list of Charges against her when the Trial began— it’s obvious that Casey knows there’s “Truths” being told, and she Resents and is un-Tolerating of being “Intimidated” by certain Specifics. From what I understand, the Pictures and Testimony “Touched” the Jurors, and they were Focused more on that, than on Casey’s “Display of Emotions”.
