‘Spiderman’ Climbs World’s Tallest Building

It took him approximately six hours, but Frenchman Alain Robert finally climbed the world’s tallest building.

From BBC News:

Alain Robert, the French urban climber dubbed spiderman for his feats, has scaled the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai.

It took him six hours to ascend the 828-m (2,717-ft) tower in the United Arab Emirates city, including the tapered spire above the top floors.

A large crowd watched from the ground as he moved up the facade, picked out by spotlights after darkness fell.

I imagine he got paid a zillion dollars for it. OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO….no amount of money could get me off the ground one story let alone this feat,,,,,eeeeeek!!!
I wonder what drives a person to do something like this,,,,,,,,,,,,ooooooooo It’s certainly more than money.

I know what you mean Zelda. I don’t know how some people can do stuff like this. You would have to have NO Nerves— let alone of Steel. Like the men who work on tall Bridges above the Water and walk on those skinny Beams, or Window-washers on a dangling Scaffold 15-stories up. Of course, it blows my mind just as much that Surgeons can cut-open someone’s Body and do what they do inside it. No wonder these kind of people get paid what they do. It’s not for EVERYone, that’s for sure. And that’s what makes the World go round I guess….
