Road Trip….

Yeah. I spent the weekend in Reno and if anyone saw the Sierra Nevada range on the news, you know we got like 2 feet of snow.

It took approximately 11 1/2 hours to get there and 7 to get back. Mind you, we took backroads that pretty much no one else was taking. If you know the area, we took 395 North out of Reno, cut to the 70 then 49 South back through Nevada City, Grass Valley and Auburn. Finally made it to I 80 and home!

What were we thinking??? We thought we might end up like the Donner Party there for awhile! ๐Ÿ™‚

Here are a couple pictures…

We got out of it!

Geezz, are you sure it was only 2 foot??.. In that first shot, looks more like TWELVE there on the right side! I definitely know there is 6 Feet in the
second one— Yours, and your two friends! HA HA HA!!!! Hope you had a good time despite everything, and glad you “got out alive” and made it Home.

You are exactly where we got stuck on our honeymoon, cracked the radiator, and cost more than the honeymoon itself. Was too cold to do what we were there to do. I would never go back into that area. Oh, i might in the summertime just for lost memories or something. lol

Oh…they were main highways. Just not the two big ones out of the Sierra. Kinda scary but we made it through!
