Casey Anthony: Judge Rules in Favor of Prosecution

Judge Perry issued rulings earlier today on motions on whether jurors will hear the statements Casey Anthony made to investigators right after her daughter Caylee was reported missing.

…and it’s a win for the prosecution.

From CNN:

Anthony’s defense team had filed a motion to keep the jury from hearing Anthony’s statements to law enforcement made on July 15 and 16, 2008 – during the first days when Anthony’s daughter,

But Judge Perry seemed to disagree; he ruled all of Anthony’s statements will be admissible at trial. This is a major win for the prosecution, since a large part of her story during that timeframe later proved not to be true.

Judge Perry also ruled to allow into trial jail recordings of Anthony and her family made from July 16 to August 22 of 2008. These show very candid conversations between Anthony and her parents, George and Cindy and brother Lee.

Judge Perry will also allow statements made to Orange County inmates Maya Derkovic and Robyn Adams and former Orange County corrections officer, Sylvia Hernandez.
