Casey Anthony: Who’s Ready for Day Two?

The second day of hearings on a series of crucial motions about evidence in Casey Anthony’s murder case began today. Any expectations?

From The Orlando Sentinel:

Debate is continuing on the question of whether Anthony’s statements to law enforcement after her daughter was reported missing should be excluded from the trial.

But a long list of motions about other evidence and legal issues will be covered today in front of Chief Judge Belvin Perry.

Jose Baez, Anthony’s defense attorney, this morning questioned Sgt. Reginald Hosey, who responded to the Anthony family home in east Orange County in July 2008 after Caylee was reported missing.

Hosey said he did not remember Casey being handcuffed or ordering her to be unhandcuffed. He said media reports refreshed his memory about that detail.

“I heard that I said uncuff her,” Hosey said. “I did not recall saying that.”

  7. Honeydog Says:

Oh great… The MEDIA “refreshed his Memory”. I’m sure The Defense LOVED that one. After a 3-year Time Lapse since this whole thing happened, I have a feeling that there will be ALOT of “I don’t recall”‘s….

BAEZ: “Now, Officer (name), were those Ms. Anthony’s exact words to you on the night of (date)?”
WITNESS: “Something like that… I can’t be sure”.
BAEZ: “No further questions Your Honor”.

They’re going to take stuff like this and RUN with it.

  8. Mary Beth Says:

Casey couldn’t keep her hands off of Baez….guess it’s been “a long time”

Casey was livid when Lee admitted he lied to her. Dr. Lillian Glass said tht she was holding her pen like she wanted to stab him with it.

  9. Honeydog Says:

Yeah, I wouldn’t doubt that if Casey could physically get to ANYbody who has (or eventually will) “crossed” her, we’d see the same old girl she always was.

  10. One Op Says:

You know Honeydog I think you said a fact. It appears that if she could, she would immediately go out and party. I hadn’t thought of that, but it almost appears that is what is disturbing her most, no party no men no do as I like.
This all is attention though and she better enjoy this kind of party while it lasts.

  11. luvarns Says:

I can imagine that after three years people will be unable to recall many details. I received a subpeona to go to court re: a blood draw on a patient. I had drawn the blood three months prior and couldn’t remember a thing about the patient or the incident. Thank goodness for the medical record to refresh my memory, but minute details were forgotten

  12. zelda Says:

Exactly luvarns………..that is why a “speedy” trial is necessary. NOT an unprepared “rush to justice” thing but a “sane” prepared speedy trial……..nothing was lost on THE FRAMERS.
