Casey Anthony: $350K for Jury in Upcoming Trial

Judge Belvin Perry has revealed what he will be the costs involved with seating a jury for the upcoming trial of accused murderer Casey Anthony. The total: $350,000!

From the Orlando Sentinel:

Perry said that it will cost a projected $350,000 to transport, feed and house the out-of-town jurors for a possible eight-week trial. Perry began Friday’s conference in court with an understated pronouncement: “Jury selection will be different,” he told the parties handling one of the nation’s most-watched criminal cases.

I suppose this dollar amount sounds about right…BUT THAT SURE IS A LOT OF MONEY!!!!

The trial may be fair for Casey (?) but it sure doesn’t sound fair to the people of Florida.

350-Grand.. Wow. Can just imagine what the final total amount of this Case will be when it’s all over.
I’ll also be watching for just how many other
“nobodies” are given the opportunity for such Royal treatment and permitted to rack-up this kind of expense.

I realize this brings business to Florida in an off-handed way for those hotels, etc. And for putting up all the media outlets.

Do they charge or have media pay a fee to be present at the courthouse, film, or do interviews? This could offset the costs, however, I can’t see the money, if collected in this way, would actually make it back into the taxpayers’ pockets.
