Roy Halladay Tosses No Hitter in Postseason Debut

What a postseason debut for Roy Halladay!

Absolutely amazing! Doc Halladay tossed a no hitter this afternoon against the Cincinnati Reds. Did I mention that he only had one walk? It was a two-out walk to Jay Bruce in the fifth inning.

Wow! Just one walk shy of joining Don Larsen as the second player to throw a postseason perfect game.

104 pitches total. 79 strikes! Total domination of the Cincinnati Reds!

  1. Roy Halladay throws no-hitter in playoff opener against Reds… What do you think Blue Jays GM is thinking right now? I wish he played for the Yankees.

  3. A lot of people were curious to see how Halladay would perform in his post-season, and he comes out with only the 2nd no-hitter in the history of baseball in the playoffs. The Phillies have an absolutely dominant rotation of three #1 starters, and Halladay vs Lee would be a great matchup in the World Series.

The Giants don’t have a bad rotation themselves…A Lincecum vs. Lee match-up would be pretty cool too! …and the NL has home field advantage this year!
