Beer Truck Loses Load on South Bay Freeway

I heard this on the news this morning and couldn’t help but laugh (knowing that no on was hurt).

It happened just 20 minutes south of us. I said that we should all get our straws and head up the mountain!

From the San Jose Mercury News:

A truck toting beer lost its trailer on southbound Highway 17 near the summit at 6:25 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol, blocking all lanes of traffic.

There was no immediate word on what brand of beer was spilling onto the roadway, or if the CHP was allowing anyone to have a sip while they waited in the nightmarish backup.

Wonder if any passengers in the vehicles traveling on the Highway seeing this, looked at each other and said, “It’s Miller Time”!
