Casey Anthony: Attendance Not Expected at Monday Hearing

It seems that Casey Anthony is not expected to attend a status hearing in court this coming Monday.

Sorry for those of you who had hoped to catch a glimpse of the accused murderer.

From WESH:

Attorneys on both sides of the case are expected to attend the hearing before Judge Belvin Perry.

A spokeswoman for the Ninth Judicial Circuit said Anthony won’t attend the hearing.

Maybe the court hearing time conflicts with her scheduled visit to the commissary. If Casey doesn’t show up, does that mean C&G won’t be there either? Why bother to show up when there’s no chance of getting precious Casey’s attention?

  2. Molly Says:

there are 2 hearings scheduled for monday. 1st the status hearing & then another hearing after that. shouldn’t she be there for that?

  3. luvarns Says:

she should have to attend the hearings. they are about her. how can she make informed decisions with her attorneys??

  4. zelda Says:

I seem to remember that there was an order at some point that she had to attend all court hearings.
    That was before judge Perry.
She should not be exempt from any process that involves time and energy of attorneys and/or the court system in my opinion.
Luvarns is right it seems to me.

  5. jon Says:

I think so too. What is she, too good to come to hearings that concern her?

  6. Molly Says:

she may not attend the status hearing as stated as she has not been ordered to attend those. but she has been ordered by the court to attend all other hearings. so she should be there for the second hearing.

  7. Molly Says:

Strickland ordered her to the hearings so she could not say later that she didn’t know this or that. then of course they revisited it when perry came on board & she is still supposed attend all other hearings & if she wishes to attend the status ones she can but does not have to.. of course we know she could care less about coming to court, i’m sure it’s a real bother to her.

  8. mystymiss Says:

You are right. Casey doesn’t have to come to the Status hearing but has to attend all other hearings. IMO she won’t be there for the Status hearing because it will take away from her beauty sleep. Which she needs!

I have a difficult time with these prospective murderers having any choices.Seems like they should have forfeited their rights in light of the heinous acts they are accused of.
Just rubs me the wrong way.
    It isn’t logical.
So what if it’s hard on them..whaaaat? How about how HARD it was to BE MURDERED at their hands….WE HAVE to remember the victim and put that first in my opinion.Otherwise it becomes a chess game like we see now with every low juice money grubber on the planet trying to make a buck off the victim.
It’s a slippery slope frosted with bullshit.

Well since Casey won’t be in attendance on Monday, I wonder if Lippman & Craddock will be hugging and cooing with the Anthonys since Conway is no longer in the picture…..

Good Luck L & C… have your work cut out for you.
You will find that you will only be taking up space because Cindy will be in charge, giving you orders and we all know how she operates.

Her motto is: I am Cindy Anthony and I will be Obeyed.

  11. Honeydog Says:

Personally, I couldn’t care less if Casey doesn’t make an Appearance— It’ll be nice for a change not to have my Blood boiling as it does every time I see her. And, really, does she even know what the hell is going on when she IS there?!! She always looks to me like she’s had a Labotomy. This being a “Status” Hearing, I’m assuming the Judge just wants to know where the Lawyers are at in their respective Cases— more like a Report— and I wouldn’t imagine that Casey has anything to do with that part of it anyway, nor is it necessary that she know.

  12. zelda Says:

I am sure that is the case Honeydog. I however was coming from the angle that she should not be exempt from the “annoyance” of her deeds.
Kinda like you say to your child who has seriously gone against the house rules, “you are grounded”!
    In other words ……consequence.
Kind of a learning curve idea.
    Poor casey.

  13. luvarns Says:

I agree with you Zelda..she should not have a choice.

  14. Honeydog Says:

We don’t know that this was “her Choice”— She could have been told by her Lawyers that her presence is not required…. It could simply be the normal Prodical in this type of Hearing.

  15. zelda Says:

Doesn’t matter honeydog. I am saying she should be made to attend in any case no matter what the usual rule is.

  16. Honeydog Says:

I know if it were ME, I wouldn’t want to miss a thing, not one Word, even if it wasn’t neccessary that I be there. But then, you have to be “Normal”, and actually GIVE a Damn!

  17. Honeydog Says:

Yeah, we’ve certainly been put through the Wringer dealing with this Happy Horse Shit for the last 2+ years, but it’s real good to know that this time next year “Finality” will have come (and hopefully Gone).
