Casey Anthony: …and the Drama Continues

There’s a great article on the Orlando Sentinel Web site today which looks at the legal drama that is the Casey Anthony case. The writer focuses on lawyers battling back and forth and the overall public outrage with the case.

It’s amazing the drama we’re seeing here. I know that everyone who keeps up knows of the soap opera nature of the trial. What keeps you coming back? Are you more interested in what actually happens in the trial…or what will be the next “over the top” antic we’ll see?

From the Orlando Sentinel:

Sometimes, between the noise of media appearances, post-hearing press conferences, court filings and personal attacks, it’s easy to forget this case is about the murder of 2-year-old Caylee Marie and the life of her mother/murder suspect. The vitriol may subside for the moment after Orange-Osceola Chief Judge Belvin Perry last week called the various parties to a private conference to “discuss the tone of recent pleadings,” according to court administration spokeswoman Karen Levey.

Often it seems much more like a clash of egos in a case the public can’t seem to get enough of. The cast of characters features some of Orlando’s most experienced legal minds – and some of its most ambitious.

I am only interested in justice………across the board.

  2. sophie Says:

Really, just keeping up with it so that I’ll be able to see the expression on her face when she’s finally convicted.

  3. luvarns Says:

I’m with you Sophie. I doubt we’ll hear anything new or surprising, the whole trial has been pretty much played out in the media. Just waiting to see her face when the verdict is handed down.

  4. Honeydog Says:

    Okay, here goes….

I’ve continued to Follow and subject myself to the on-going undeniable Aggrivation and Frustration of this Case simply because it is unlike any form of our so-called “Justice System” at Work than any other I have EVER known or could possibly DREAM-UP, by which I am also enthralled and astonished by the sheer unbelievable Antics and complete Disregard for a tiny Human Life which was deliberately taken by an undeserving overly-Lawyer-protected obviously-Guilty

“INhuman” whom I am WAITING for the day to see her Face and be given the Punnishment which she has the Ignorance and Gall to think she won’t get, so that I can finally be Relieved and Satisfied, and a little Girl may Rest in Peace, with Dignity, after all. Continuing to “Come Back” is not an Option— It’s a Mission… for Caylee.

Hello kreuzer, thanks for the topic.

  7. luvarns Says:

knightowl, i just hope that she does get what she deserves and is not let off on some sort of technicality

  8. zelda Says:

Luvarns,…….the “technicalities ” really get to me.
The poster goon for that is Joran Van Der Sloot.Looks like he is trying to get off on technicalities AGAIN!. OMG!
I suspect there is an under the table payoff there in that Peruvian jail. That is How they stay alive. The poor ones are murdered.
Back on the subject of Caylee…………I don’t think Casey will get off with too much.At least I am hoping is that is the case.Man o man………..
We need swifter justice and a tighter system that still allows justice for the innocent.I say let’s remove paying lawyers huge sums and have all of them work for scale by the hour………..yehaw!That would shake em up.
All this delay and money spent on these perps just gags me.

  9. luvarns Says:

I hope you are right Zelda. I bet the trial systems would proceed much faster if lawyers worked for scale by the hour.

  10. Hilde Says:

The Reason I am staying with this Case is, I want finally Justice for Caylee Marie. It doesn’t matter how many times the Defense is trying to put Road Blocks into this Case and therefore in my Opinion is wasting time and Money trying to establish reasonable Doubt or/and blaming any one they can for Caylee’s Murder.
The Fact remains 2 Yr. old Caylee’s Death was a Homicide!
Casey Anthony is awaiting Trial for the Murder of her own Daughter, despite what the Defense is trying to do, I do believe the right Person is in Jail!
I will be patient and follow this Case to the End to finally witness Justice to be served for Caylee Marie!
    RIP sweet Angel Caylee!

  11. Hilde Says:

    Honeydog~~ You said it perfectly and I agree 100 % 😉

  12. zelda Says:

The right person is in jail in any case.IMP.
