Casey Anthony Found!

Casey Anthony has been flushed out of hiding in Florida. While Anthony has been in hiding for the 10 months since her trial, legal action has continued against her, and she must now return to an Orlando courtroom.

Investigators located Anthony and staked out her new residence for several days while attempting to serve a subpoena relating to an ongoing defamation case, People magazine reported Monday night. The case stems from the initial investigation into the whereabouts of Anthony’s 2-year-old daughter, Caylee. Anthony claimed the girl was kidnapped by a babysitter named Zenaida Gonzalez, a woman she never knew, but who does exist.

Casey Anthony: Rob Lowe to Star in Lifetime Movie

It appears that Rob Lowe is returning to Lifetime to play Florida prosecutor Jeff Ashton in the new flick “Prosecuting Casey Anthony.”

From Entertainment Weekly:

Rob Lowe is quickly becoming Lifetime’s go-to guy for sordid crime trial docudramas. After his turn this past January as Drew Peterson in Drew Peterson: Untouchable, Lowe will next star in the network’s upcoming movie Prosecuting Casey Anthony as Jeff Ashton, the prosecutor in the Casey Anthony trial.

The film is based on a book by Ashton and according to the network “will examine what the prosecution got right, what they got wrong and why Ashton remains convinced of Casey Anthony’s guilt.”

 

Casey Anthony: Wears Necklace With Caylee’s Ashes Inside

Apparently, Casey Anthony wears an ash-holder necklace with some of Caylee’s remains inside. Anthony’s mother, Cindy Anthony, supposedly sent the ashes to the her daughter (and acquitted murderer).

Explaining that after months of silence Casey finally spoke with her mother Cindy on Skype before she left her California hideout to return to Florida, the authors claim the necklace Casey is seen wearing in a leaked online video diary is actually an ash holder.

“Cindy used the opportunity to ask Casey if she wanted to wear something that had been set aside for her three years ago,” the book claims.

“With Casey’s acceptance, Cindy would send this sacred offering through FedEx. Casey would leave California with a new accessory: An ash-holder necklace with a portion of Caylee’s remains inside.”

Casey Anthony: Defamation Lawsuit Can Move Forward ‎

Judge Lisa Munyon has ruled that the defamation lawsuit against Casey Anthony can proceed.

From the Orlando Sentinel:

Judge Lisa Munyon heard several hours of arguments last month on two motions — one filed by Anthony’s defense and the other by attorneys for Zenaida Gonzalez — but reserved ruling.

At issue is whether or not Anthony identified Gonzalez specifically enough when she talked to her parents in a jail visitation session.

Casey Anthony: Civil Trial Delayed Until 2013

The civil trial against Casey Anthony has been delayed until January of next year. Circuit Judge Lisa T. Munyon re-set the trial after Zenaida Gonzalez’s lawyer notified the court of a conflict with a previously scheduled case in Duval County.

According to CBS affiliate WKMG, Judge Lisa Munyon announced Tuesday that the case, filed by Zenaida Gonzales against Anthony, will be pushed back until Jan. 2, 2013.

Attorneys on both sides of the case had been asking to delay the trial scheduled to begin in April, partially due to conflicts with other clients, according to WKMG.

Casey Anthony: Baptism in her Future?

Casey Anthony, who was found not guilty of murdering her 2-year-old daughter Caylee, plans to be baptized sometime this month. This will be part of her “transition” to a new, post-trial life.

According to an insider, Anthony, 26, wanted to do something to signify a new beginning in her life.

“Casey has planned to get baptized sometime this month,” an insider exclusively told RadarOnline.com.

“She figured getting baptized would be the best way start this new chapter in her life. It’s a new beginning.”

 

Casey Anthony: No Delay in Civil Trial

Judge Lisa Munyon has refused to delay Casey Anthony’s upcoming civil trial from a defamation lawsuit, set to start April 10.

Jury selection is slated to begin April 10 in the case filed against Anthony by Kissimmee mother Zenaida Gonzalez.

Gonzalez claims Anthony ruined her reputation in 2008 when she told law-enforcement a babysitter with the same name kidnapped her 2-year-old daughter Caylee Marie.
