Casey Anthony’s Psychiatric Evaluation Revealed
A psychiatrist says in newly released depositions that he could find no evidence that Casey Anthony suffers from a mental illness.
From MyFoxOrlando:
Dr. Jeffrey Danziger and Dr. William Weitz both conducted psychological evaluations on Anthony and before her murder trial, both doctors were deposed on what she told them regarding the death of her 2-year-old daughter Caylee in 2008 and alleged sexual abuse by her father.
The depositions were done on April 7, 2011 and April 13, 2011 and were ordered sealed by Chief Judge Belvin Perry until the end of the trial. The Orlando Sentinel filed a motion with the court to have the depositions unsealed.
One of the psychiatrists, Danziger, says the results of a psychological test that Anthony took were normal, something he regarded as surprising.

I understand, from a panel of Psychologists on TV tonight, that the things these Psychiatrists were looking-for had to do with her ability to stand Trial… That it’s not in-fact unusual for Doctors to be surprised with someone like her passing Tests with “Normal” results, as they did expect her to Fail the “types of Tests” which were administered. They knew she was a Liar, but, on the other hand, she proved Intelligent in answering Oral and written Questions— the same as if one is taking an “Exam” on various general subjects. This is what they go on in determining whether or not a person “Understands”, is “Insane” or “Crazy” or “Psychotic”, etc. The Panel stated that a person can be both highly-Intelligent AND a Lying Narcistic Sociopath, separated only by the “Scores” they achieve on such Tests and which dominate the overall Findings. BUT— They ALSO said that the FLIP-side would be that, sometimes, depending on the Doctor/s involved, they end-up “Believing” their Patient. In any event, it doesn’t take a Rocket Scientist to see and know that Casey Anthony IS “Mental”, and who knows what happened here to conclude otherwise.

So basically ya’ll are saying that at least 3 professional psychiatrists are wrong in their conclusions as to whether or not Casey is mentally ill or personality disordered? That 3 professionals who personally and intensively evaluated her and administered her tests have all been duped? Lol, you all give the girl just a tad too much credit, IMO

I don’t believe anyone said they’re “Wrong” in the sense that you’re taking it. I certainly don’t know how these particular Psychiatrists personally “work their Magic” or their specific technical Testing methods, but I do know a thing or two about Psychiatrists and Patient Evaluations in general. I was once Assistant Administrator of a small 60-Bed Private Psychiatric Facility, and later transcribed Tests and Evaluations for a group of Psychiatrists in their private Offices. In both settings, there were, of course, set Procedures which were the Standard to follow with all of them, and yet, each was different in their personal Evaluation and/or Diagnosis of the same Patient when asked to Cross-evaluate. Believe it or not, there are Psychiatrists out there with their OWN emotional problems, and it does affect their dealings with, thoughts about, and subsequent Analysis and Treatment of certain Patients. As for being “Duped”… It actually can, and does happen within certain circumstances, although I have no idea, nor implied that this occurred in this Case. I have a Daughter with years behind her of intensive Psychological Sessions, Tests, and Evaluations, and I can tell you that, in reading volumes of their Reports, there were things I knew that her Doctors had to be TOLD because they somehow missed it or truly drew the wrong conclusion from her herself. All in all, simply because someone is a “Professional” in this field, it does not mean— again, depending— that each and every Determination is absolutely 100% spot-on cast-in-stone transparently just so. I would think though, that if Casey’s OVERALL Report was “within Normal Limits”— meaning not just the Batteries Testing, but Personal Evaluation included—- that she did INDEED “Dupe” them… What else would explain her being “Normal”, when it is clear that she has a Mental Disturbance/Disorder. Anyway, not disagreeing with your Point… just Discussing.

How true. If only all the “Filler” could be eliminated, and it was simply down to the Act itself and the Consequences…

The psychiatrist and William A. Weitz, a psychologist, gave depositions to lawyers in early 2011, but never testified at Anthony’s trial last year.
