Keyboardist for Charlie Daniels Band Dies
Sad news in the world of country music as Joel “Taz” DiGregorio, legendary keyboardist for the Charlie Daniels Band, has died at the age of 67.
Taz was on his way to meet the band’s tour bus when his car crashed near Nashville, Tennessee. RIP Taz!
From CNN:
“I am in shock now, Taz was one of my best friends,” Charlie Daniels said in a statement. “The CDB family has lost a great friend and musician.”
DiGregorio was a member of the band for more than 40 years and co-wrote its signature song,”The Devil Went Down to Georgia.”
Funeral arrangements are pending.

With all the places the Band has traveled over 40 Years and all the things that go along with it that he and they survived, what a tragic shame. What a Life and Legend to have been part of though. Thanks for the Music and the Memories Taz. You were one of the Greats. RIP.
