Mistrial Declared in Roger Clemens Perjury Trial
Judge Reggie Walton, who is presiding over Roger Clemens‘ perjury trial, has declared a mistrial over evidence revealed to the jury that he believed would prejudice them against the former Major League Baseball pitcher.
From CNN:
U.S. District Judge Reggie Walton said prosecutors should have modified a video that showed Rep. Elijah Cummings, D-Maryland, during a 2008 congressional hearing talking about a deposition from the wife of former New York Yankees player Andy Pettitte.
Clemens is accused of perjury, obstruction of Congress and making false statements about his alleged use of steroids and human growth hormone.
