Casey Anthony: Andrea Lyon Quits Defense Team
Andrea Lyon, who joined the defense team to fight against the death penalty, is no longer on the case. Lyon is the second attorney to depart from the case in less than six months.
From the Orlando Sentinel:
Lead Anthony attorney Jose Baez confirmed today that Lyon has left the defense because of financial issues. He filed paperwork with the Orange County Clerk of Court’s office late today reflecting Lyon’s departure.
“We’re sad to see her leave, but we completely understand that it’s a fiscal reason,” Baez said.
He said Lyon will remain “fully accessible to us if we need her at any time.”

Droppin like Flies……
The first thought that comes to my Mind after hearing this, is how, when Lyon initially stormed onto the Scene, she was all the Buzz— The One-Woman Army, the one to Fear, the one who was going to “Save” Casey, the one who “Never Lost”. It reminds me of so many other things that The Defense has Bragged about and tried to Convince everybody of. Slowly but surely, The Defense’s layers of “Cosmetic” Work to this Case has been Peeling off, revealing what it really looks like underneath, and, what we’ve always known all along. I think they know it too. No one or nothing is going to be able to Disguise the Facts and change the Evidence against Casey. Even though there’s a little white Speck on top of Chicken Shit, it’s still Chicken Shit.
To *Cali patti*: I do believe that Cheney Mason is a Death Qualified Attorney. Baez is not.
Hi *OneOp*: I kind of doubt that Baez would desert Casey. His “Bad Lawyering” aside, he just seems like the kind of “Person” who, after being dedicated to her for so long, wouldn’t do that to her. Of course, we’ve learned to expect ANYthing where this Case is concerned, and, who knows, the way things are going, we may end-up being down to the “Normal” ONE Defense Attorney by the time this is over.
