Casey Anthony: Jury Will Come From Out Of Town
Judge Belvin Perry ruled today that jurors will be brought to Orlando from another area for Casey Anthony’s murder trial.
Not surprised by this ruling but I’m sure there will be those who are. It’ll be hard to find an impartial jury just about anywhere, I’d think…

In a hearing Monday, Judge Belvin Perry decided to order a jury be selected elsewhere and brought to Orange County for Casey Anthony’s murder trial.
“The defendant’s motion for change of venue will be granted at the appropriate time. I will enter an order prior to us proceeding to somewhere in the state of Florida to select a jury. I will review and take into consideration the comments by the defense and the state in selecting a site,” Perry said.

Chief Judge Belvin Perry ruled at a pretrial hearing that the trial will take place in Orlando, but that 12 jurors and six potential alternates will be chosen from somewhere else in Florida. Once they are chosen, the jurors will be sequestered, Perry ruled.
Perry also said he will place the lawyers in the high-profile case under a gag order.

He needs to hurry up with the gag order! To bad Jose fought that in the very beginning. There is no doubt in my mind that Casey will receive a fair trial. jmo

I suppose this is in all Fairness, but this Case is enormously Wide-spread— in the Media, the Internet, and on the Streets. If I were Baez, I wouldn’t search-out and count-on any Latinos (as he once envisioned in areas such as Miami, etc)…. They regard their Children like Gold, and do not tolerate Mothers who harm a Child. All we can do is hope everything works out for a Good and Fair Trial in the end.

Interesting discussion and information on JVM tonight by the Jury Consultant, regarding “bringing-in the Troops” from another County for a potentially 2-Month Trial……
The “Down-sides” to this Plan will be that, #1: The Defense’s biggest challenge will be attempting to find individuals who are willing to leave their Home, Family, and Jobs for so long a time, to be confined in a Hotel, constantly watched by Deputies, and— the “Economy” being what it is— giving-up their Paychecks for mere “Peanuts”; #2: Finding individuals who will “claim” they can be Fair, but who actually only desire to be “Selected”; and #3: The Risk of these “Out-of-Towners” becoming too anxious to get it over-with and go Home, and ultimately failing to do a good Job.
The Jury Consultant also stated that it will take at least a Month to complete the Jury Selection.
