Philadelphia Phillies Fan Gets Tasered on Field (With Video)
Seventeen year old Steve Consalvi was Tasered by Philadelphia Phillies security after running on the field during the 8th inning of a Phillies home game this past Monday night.
Now, I’m not going to condone what the kid did as being right, you are warned not to run on the field when you enter the ballpark. But, as a fan, I think that security probably went a little far this time.
Check out the videos below and let me know your thoughts.

Been all over the News. While I can understand the absolute need for Pumped-up Security Measures these days, and that a guy suddenly appearing and racing the Field would be cause for Alarm, I think the use of these Tasers, in general, has become a little too “Popular” and Irresponsible. I’ve heard of situations where they were found to have not even been necessary, and/or the User being too Carried-away with it. I have personally been to Citizens Bank Park, and all Patrons within this Facility are
“Checked” by Security upon entering (Bags, Purses, Cameras, etc), as is also done for other Events at the surrounding Facilities in this Sports Complex. If anyone, or anything, had been found to be Suspicious upon Arrival on Monday, it would have been Stopped before ever going to the Stands. In this instance, I not only think that there was no actual “Threat”, but that resorting to this extreme Method was totally Uncalled-for.
