Haleigh Cummings Search Continues
Authorities continue to search an area near Satsuma, Florida, today as part of the investigation into the disappearance of Haleigh Cummings.
From CNN:
The Putnam County, Florida, Sheriff’s Office said in a statement that it was conducting the search, based on a lead investigators received. Authorities did not release the exact location “in an attempt to prevent unnecessary congestion from onlookers,” the statement said.
“Although various resources are being utilized to conduct this search, it is just one of many operations conducted during this investigation,” authorities said. “Due to the sensitivity of this investigation, the name of the person providing the tip and the physical evidence alleged to be in this area will not be released.”
Haleigh Cummings was 5 in February 2009 when she vanished from the mobile home she shared with her father, Ronald Cummings, and stepmother, Misty Croslin, near Satsuma.

Saw on JVM tonight that Misty’s grandmother was the person who provided the “Tip”. I do believe that this particular body of Water is the right “Tack on the Map”, just as I believe that Misty, her Brother, and their Cousin damn-well DO know EXACTLY what happened. I so hope that this Search effort is successful in turning-up something of significant usefulness in this Case. I keep seeing those pictures of little Haleigh’s great big happy Smile, and I’m praying that God will come through for these Divers and Investigators.
