Dive Team Dispatched in Search for Natalee Holloway

I saw 0n CNN this morning that Aruban divers are planning to check out the site where a Pennsylvania couple, John and Patti Muldowney, saw what they believe could be the remains of Natalee Holloway.

From the Philadelphia Inquirer:

Divers in Aruba began searching Saturday for any signs of a submerged skeleton possibly photographed by a snorkeling Lancaster County woman.

Investigators hope the photograph might be a break in the much-publicized disappearance of Natalee Holloway, an Alabama high school student who disappeared during a graduation trip in 2005.

The initial search found nothing significant, so authorities are hoping the FBI can get Patti Muldowney, and her husband, John, to help pinpoint the location, Aruba’s deputy police chief, Adolpho Richardson, told the Birmingham (Ala.) News.

While many believe that these could be the skeletal remains of Ms. Holloway, ABC News has spoken with a forensic pathologist who has cast some doubt on these beliefs.

From ABC News:

A Pennsylvania couple’s underwater photograph of what may be Natalee Holloway’s remains has reportedly prompted authorities to send a dive team into the waters off Aruba to investigate. But the underwater image has prompted skepticism from one forensic pathologist, who says it’s probably not a skeleton.

“I do not believe that these photos represent a body. I think it’s a rock formation that certainly does present upon initial perception a suggestion of a human skeletal remains, but I do not believe that it is,” Dr. Cyril Wecht said.

After looking at the photograph that first appeared in the Intelligencer Journal/Lancaster New Era newspaper, Wecht, one of the country’s leading forensic pathologists, said the image doesn’t match what a skeleton should look like.

“If you look at what would have to be the head you see that it does not really fit. It it’s a front view, then what would be orbital sockets are far too low. If it’s a rear view, then that does not fit because there’s a lower portion that would not fit in with the neck,” Wecht said.

I hope and pray they find this beautiful young girl and bring her home to her family.

Urine will have to pay for what he did to this unsuspecting and innocent girl.

Hi Kreuzer, i don’t care what this Dr.Wecht has to say, i say it is a skeleton and most likely Natalee’s until i am proven wrong. It has been stated it appears to look like it was weighted down with two large rocks. If it is Natalee then it would make sense that Juron or whoever he had throw her there would wait her down for common sense reasons, so she wouldn’t float back to the surface.

I don’t know WHAT to think. I’m suspicious of the Divers being “Aruban”, but I suppose if the FBI gets involved— along with the Muldowneys themselves— there’s a better chance of the Search being handled without fear of any Dishonesty and Corruption on Aruba’s end. We know what its “Authorities” are capable of, and my only concern is that there’s no “Foul Play”. I can only imagine the Anxiety Natalee’s family is in right now, although her Father stated he does not believe it’s a Skeleton at all, nor Natalee. Tim Miller (Texas Equasearch) was a guest on Nancy Grace tonight, but I got interrupted and missed what he had to say about all of it. I’m still Hoping and Praying for ANYthing that leads to finding Natalee, or her Body, no matter where or when.
