Casey Anthony: Closed Door Meeting With Judge Strickland?
It looks like more high drama as we inch closer to the trial of accused murderer Casey Anthony. In a new filing, defense attorneys Jose Baez and Andrea Lyon object to the state’s request for a private hearing with Judge Stan Strickland.
From the Orlando Sentinel:
The State Attorney’s Office asked for a private hearing to discuss “certain materials and information” that have “come into the possession of Law Enforcement.”
In their motion, filed earlier this month, prosecutors said the materials and information are releasable to Anthony’s defense and the public through the discovery process.
“There is good cause to delay disclosure of these materials and information,” Assistant State Attorney Jeff Ashton wrote.
Ashton’s request asks the private hearing be recorded by a court reporter.
Casey Anthony’s defense stated in their objection that prosecutors offered nothing in support of their claim, and “under Florida law a bare assertion is insufficient,” according to the motion, which was made public Thursday.

“more high drama as we inch closer…” May 2011?? I think this statement needs a unit of measurement smaller than an inch…maybe a cold slug’s crawl…

Well… it’s up to Strickland, and, so far, I think he’s demonstrated an impressive, steady Hand in steering this wreck of a Ship, and his decisions have set Fine with me. Whatever.

Oh my……what is the deal with this case.?
I hope the snail’s pace proves out the obvious. The argument being to make sure casey gets the maximum penalty provided by law.
Seems the crowd out here is way more stressed than she is.Interesting to watch the cast of characters on parade as we wade through what seems endless motions and rarely used clauses in the law before we hit the finish line.
Gaaawd…………I am pooped with just the effort of these few sentences.
It’s so difficult to walk with my toes crossed in the hope that she gets life with no parole etc. etc.
