Casey Anthony: Scared…Sad…Grief Stricken…
Hal Boedeker has an update on Casey Anthony’s state of mind while she sits in prison, awaiting her trial for the murder of her daughter, Caylee Anthony.
As you might expect, Anthony’s attorney Andrea Lyon points out that Casey is scared/terrified and grief stricken. The questions remains: Is she scared because she knows what she’s done and is going to be found guilty? Or is she scared because she’s an innocent suspect, wrongly accused of a terrible crime?
I’m leaning towards the first
From The TV Guy:
“She’s scared. Wouldn’t you be scared?” defense attorney Andrea Lyon told WKMG-Channel 6′s Tony Pipitone. “She sad. She’s grief-stricken. And she’s terrified.”
WKMG offered a well-promoted interview with Lyon and fellow defense attorney Linda Kenney Baden. Anthony is charged with first-degree murder in the death of her daughter, Caylee.
The CBS affiliate started its 11 p.m. newscast with the interview, then saved the rest of it for 10 minutes later in the telecast. The better to keep viewers watching during sweeps month. The entire 18-minute interview can be seen at the station’s Web site.
Pipitone, one of the market’s best reporters, pressed the attorneys on several points that fascinate people who have been following the case. He asked if the attorneys were being paid by anything but publicity because their client has no money.
“We don’t think publicity is payment,” Baden said. “All of us are not in this case for publicity.”

Most noticeable is what they didnt say…That Casey is innocent. They didnt say that there is a compelling reason why Casey did not report her daughter missing, Baez says there is, Baden says it was a very very stupid mistake. They didnt say Kronk did this, they DID say LE hasnt done their job. If the mother states a nanny took her child, LE is supposed to create new scenarios and investigate EVERYONE in Orlando? and beyond? Just give her the 45 years she will get for lying to police, failing to report the crime against her child, and check fraud. I can live with her serving till shes 65.

Like I always like to say, Casey’s drinking, dating and dancing days are over. Will the rest of the team be so lucky?

Do these Lawyers ever think things through? Casey is scared, sad and grief stricken. Sounds about how Caylee must have been feeling the last few minutes of her life! She is a pathetic excuse for a mother!!! jmo

Hi Kreuzer, Don’t buy it. Casey is as SMUG as she has ever been with that same smirk she has come in to court with so many times. She still thinks she is gonna win this case and be out sometime next year. This is Andrea Lyons trying to put the Sympathy card out to the public and possible juror’s plain and simple. Even if i were dumb enough to think it was true, Casey is the killer of Caylee in my eyes plain and simple, so i for one don’t give a darn about casey’s feelings or sadness.

I am sure casey thinks she will be found innocent and weasel out of the check fraud and all that stuff too. It has been said last year she was reading Law books, so maybe by trial she will have learned so much she may just decide to represent herself. With the way her Defense team is going about it, she darn well may have too, they don’t seem to know what they are doing.

Knight Owl~
Nope…I don’t buy it. Though if I knew I was going down I’d be pretty scared too. Though, I would NEVER do anything to my own child. The idea isn’t even something I can even imagine!

grief stricken?? Over what, Mrs. Baden? Losing her child? Losing her freedom? Losing her life? That her parents went on a cruise?
Mrs. Baden has taken over as Casey’s mommy. She will tell us how wonderful Casey is as a person, how she doesn’t deserve where she is at, and how Casey is feeling. She displays for us the feelings that Casey herself cannot feel.
If Mrs. Baden feels Casey needs cheering up, all she needs to do is bring in Casey’s baby book and talk about how wonderful she was as a baby.

Casey is scared? I bet Caylee was more scared! Casey is sad, was Caylee not sad looking into the eyes of her killer? Poor Casey is terrified about what getting the d.p., Caylee had to have been terrified. What is Casey grief stricken about? She was not grief stricken the 31 days she was out partying, living it up. I bet Caylee was grief stricken to be thrown away like trash.
John, I am with you there is NO WAY that I could murder my children and the thought never crossed my mind either.

When I was growing up, my mother told me that my body belonged to the one who created it, that I should respect it and not indulge in a behavior that I was not ready to be responsible for.
Did I fully understand it, no, because the urge is the urge, yet her words did cause me to have restraint. So when my children were born I believed they truly a blessing from the One who created them. I just had to set the table properly.
My intention is not to criticize people and their way of life but under the circumstances of dear little Caylee and her coming into this world does anyone have a word on why God would allow a child to come into this world thru one who did not want her and end up the way she did.
If a child is a Blessing from God (referring to believers) how does this happen, and for what purpose?

1 john 5:19 says that the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one (the Devil) God created man as free moral agents, with the will to decide to do right or wrong. Unfortunately, this woman used her God given freedom to do wrong not right, at poor little Cayle’s expense. Now it is at the tax payers expense. God has a purpose, and when people least expect it, He will act against all wrongdoers. Please read your bible and you will find the answers to your questions. In the meantime, maybe just maybe Justice will be served with the 12 jurors. I hope the presecution uses discernment and bring out only the pertainent evidence so the jurors will act with intelligence not emotion. There seems enough evidence to convict with the coffin flies, what was found as matches to laundry bad, internet searches, Human D in the trunk of Casey’s car and hopfully a conviction for all the fraud.

OneOp; You used the word “restraint.” All good things are from God. We are not perfect. He restrains us, or we would all be as hapless as Casey. Why no restraint for Casey? He’s got the plans, not us.
Think of all we’ve learned through Caylee. God’s not finished yet.

sad…yes sad that she is not out with her friends.
scared…yes scared that she is going to fry for her horrible crimes.
grief stricken…yes, because she is no longer the cute, single girl she once was..she is now a chubby piggy who sits around snacking and feeling sorry for herself while rotting in jail.
I feel so sorry for her…NOT

In the Immortal Words of Rhett Butler to Scarlet O’Hara— “You’re like the man who isn’t the least bit Sorry he Stole, but he’s terribly terribly Sorry he’s going to Jail”. Tough Luck Casey.. feel Bad— SWIM in it.
