Casey Anthony: Mother Contemplated Suicide
First it was George Anthony, now it appears that Cindy had similar thoughts as well.
It must be a very stressful time for both George and Cindy, losing their two year old granddaughter, and having their daughter charged with her murder. I can’t say that I wouldn’t think about it either.
From CBS News:
In the second part of an exclusive Early Show interview, Cindy Anthony told co-anchor Maggie Rodriguez she had her brush with suicidal thoughts in July. That’s when she reported to police that Caylee was missing.
During part one of the interview, her husband and Caylee’s grandfather, George Anthony, discussed the time he attempted to take his own life, in January.
Previously, it had only been public knowledge that George had tried.
“George and I are living the same nightmare,” Cindy said to Rodriguez. ” … I can’t judge George for certain things that he’s done. You know? I understand certain things. I understand his suicide attempt. A lot of people don’t know: I was there, too. I wrote suicide notes back in the end of July and August. No one knows that.
“(I wrote the notes) because I couldn’t bear not having Kaylie around and not knowing what happened to her. And I wanted — you get to a point when you miss someone so much, that you think life’s not worth living.”
And what kept her from going through with it?
“Actually,” Cindy responded, “Casey. Once Casey came home, the first time that Casey came home, the very first night — being able to see her and hug her.”

cindy anthony(no caps on purpose)is manipulating the media again!!!!!!!!!!!! Old george is always along for the ride. cindy rules the roost.
she is trying to get any sympathy for casey that she can.Saying that casey talked her out of suicide…what crap is that? What a twisted family.
I am so sick of them….sick of the goofy feeding frenzy around it by the media and nut cases.
The healthy people feel sorry for the grandparents because they are assuming the anthonys are normal. THEY ARE NOT!!!cindy should be prosecuted too for lying and obstuction etc. etc.
She will do anything to cover her ass.I wonder if the anthonys realize they can’t pull the wool over our eyes out here no matter HOW hard they try.
No sympathy at all from me
A CHILD WAS MURDERED………..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had a hard time completely believing George’s suicide attempt, it seemed so stagy. I do ot believe Cindy. In July-Aug she still thought Caylee would be coming home, witness the preparations for the “birthday party’ at which Casey said shw would appear. Her enthusiasm and hope expressed does not go with someone depressed to the point of suicide.
I think this was one more effort to whitewash Casey in the press, esp since she said “Casey talked her out of it.”

Has anyone ever seen Cindy Anthony shed a tear? Now she expects us to believe that before she knew Caylee was dead she wrote suicide notes. I believe Cindy knows exactly what Casey did. I can understand parents wanting to protect their children but she is also protecting the killer of her grandchild. Cindy and George are obviously lying every time they talk. They don’t work anymore because of money they have received due to the death of this precious little girl. Media should STOP interviewing them. EVERYONE needs to remember a 2 year old child was murdered.

I’m with everyone else on this, especially
“CHRISTINE”, “GRANDMOTHER”, and “JEFF”. Right-off-the-Bat, Cindy was always known and stated by Others to be the “Rock” of the Family… the one who “Took Control” and “Kept Everything Together”; Not only have WE heard and seen the type of “Attitude” she has, her “Compelling-Forcefulness”, and Strong “Self-Convictions”, but People who are LIKE this DO not
FOLD. ACTUALLY, when confronted with a Serious Problem or Situation, their “Motor” Kicks-in, Revs-up,
and there’s no STOPPING them in completely Taking-on what has to be done. Based on this proven Psychological Fact, I don’t “Buy It” for one Second that Cindy “Began” writing Suicide Notes. AND, in Agreement, she was “Consumed” in her Belief and Constant Pursuit of a “Live” Caylee during that Time.
Also, The Anthony’s HAVE Lost their Focus on WHO they
SHOULD be Fighting For…. JUSTICE for CAYLEE is what their “Motives” ought to be— NOT trying to “Pull-the-Wool” over the Authorities and the Public’s Eyes with these “Pity-Party” T.V. Appearances on Casey’s
behalf. What they both do not realize is, no matter
HOW many “Stops” they make on their “ALIBI TOUR” with their “Soft-spoken” Words, it’s TOO LATE…. They already “Made their Beds” with the Authorities and
the Public long ago. They can’t Take-Back now all that’s been previously Said and Documented, no matter how much they try to Change their “Demeanor” to gain
Sympathy. It all looked “Planned” and Fake to me.
now
who have What George & Cindy fail to realize is, no matter how many “Stops” they make on their “ALIBI TOUR”, they’ve already

What I’d like to know is this. You Anthony’s are all obviously killers in one form or another, so why did you not just kill each other (and rid the evil) and leave the PRECIOUS LITTLE TWO YEAR OLD LITTLE CAYLEE ALONE TO BE ADOPTED BY A LOVING FAMILY SO THAT HER LIFE COULD GO ON? Answer that one. Why? Why? Why?
April 27, 2009 at 1:42 am
I think that Cindy is trying to garner sympathy from the media and the people watching it after we saw her verbally attacking ZG during the deposition and attacking the lawyer. The whole suicide thing is fake.

here’s something one of you says:
“You Anthony’s are all obviously killers in one form or another, so why did you not just kill each other (and rid the evil) and leave the PRECIOUS LITTLE TWO YEAR OLD LITTLE CAYLEE ALONE TO BE ADOPTED BY A LOVING FAMILY SO THAT HER LIFE COULD GO ON?”
Do you have any idea how cruel this sounds? Even if you don’t like this family, why do you wish for the murder of ANYBODY, much less the family of a child? One reason the sixth commandment was added to the bible was to prevent murder of ANY KIND. I don’t know about you, but I feel for the poor grandparents. All this news coverage adds insult to injury to this horrible tragedy this beautiful family has had to go through. Don’t worry, they are slowly accepting that their daughter killed their granddaughter, it’s just excruciatingly difficult and painful for them to know that they will never see Caylee and Casey the way every family wants to see their offspring: as a happy mother and child who love each other deeply and live full, long, happy lives together. Instead, they have to see the remains of Caylee and their daughter on death row. Wouldn’t that ruin you emotionally? Perhaps the best ways to honor Caylee are to: 1. never forget Caylee and the wonderful ways she made the world a happier place as a lovely child. 2. Show sympathy for the other victims who knew so well and loved her so deeply and have had to go through her loss, aka the rest of her family.

why are people so much more critical of cindy than they are of george? in fact, why are people so much more critical of women than they are of men in general? Whoever was involved (in this case, the mother), it was a horrible murder. I don’t think the grandparents were involved. This reminds me of Jonbenet Ramsey’s case, where everybody was much more suspicious of her mother than they were her father, when it was obviously a sexually-related crime. The good news, however, is that thanks to unknown male DNA the authorities are finally admitting existed all along but downplayed, the tortured family is finally exonerated. The bad news is, that poor mother never lived to see the exoneration. Furthermore, the killer has unfortunately, never been found, and thanks to everyone’s wrongful suspicions, may never be found. It’s just too late, you know?

I agree, womanonwoman. Like you, I believe that people, especially other women, are too critical of women and always look for ways to bring them down. Maybe that explains why this particular case, unlike millions of other murder cases no one seems to care about, went haywire? I wish the grandparents did not have to go through all this. That poor little girl never got to live her life and continue to be happy and make her grandparents happy and the media just have to magnify such a painful atrocity! Oh, this makes me feel so lonely in the world.
