Casey Anthony: State Questions How Defense Team is Being Funded

It seems that prosecutors want the judge to find out where Casey Anthony is getting the money to pay for her defense team.

Many people have asked me the same question. I hate to tell you that I’m out in California and don’t have the answers :)

From WESH:

Sources who have seen the motion said it was filed and dated Monday.

They want Judge Stan Strickland to require Jose Baez, Casey Anthony’s attorney, to produce all deposit records, retainer agreements and licensing arrangements. If any of these dealings exist, prosecutors want Casey Anthony to sign a waiver saying she’s aware of them. Baez said he’s been consulting an ethics lawyer all the way. Tomorrow he said he’ll file a sworn motion repeating his stance that he’s done nothing unethical.

Repeatedly, Baez has refused to say who is paying for her legal dream team. He said it’s nobody’s business.

As questions persisted, Baez said he has “done nothing but conduct myself in a most professional manner, and that he has done nothing unethical” when asked about the role he played in building the defense fund.

One of the lead prosecutors said this deal could lead to a potential conflict of interest for Baez. Baez this is a “witch hunt,” and the state has “no evidence” to prove their allegations because he’s done nothing wrong.

If Baez has made improper side deals for book or movie rights to the case, prosecutors said the arrangement could be “fraught with potential conflict of interest.” One criminal defense attorney said it could give Casey Anthony grounds to ask for another trial.

For their part, prosecutors said they “are not trying to block Baez from representing Casey.”

How can anyone continue to provide Casey with the luxuries that she has in her private jail cell. Very sick hopeless people that think she will get out to marry them? She is suppose to be innocent until proven guilty, yes but her cold heart towards her daughter missing preceeds this. Appears she is guilty of many things including the murder of a baby girl. She deserves no support. Yet Nancy Grace can defend her mother as a victum, Cindy has her hands in the pot and knew what was up long before any one else will. If there is sympathy due in this is for her grandfather, George, truly a loss for him, the love of his life. But the rest of the group, Lee, Cindy and Casey needs to be prosecuted and held accountable for any and all the actions that they had in this loss.

I do agree that someone needs to take a look at how these lawyers and experts are being paid. Is it from the profit of the death of a child, guess they have no difficulty sleeping at night and if this had happened to them as grandparents. They can accept money and recognition, well put a feather in their hats and pray you don’t ever have the loss, that justice would be interfered with by the likes of people like you. Guilty of profit from the death of a little innocent child. Very sad to think this is what you want to be known for.

    May not help the defense!!

On the video from youtube that depicts casey as a loving mother, has any one noticed that the shorts that Calyee has on are ones that were found with poor Caylee’s remains. The State took casey’s personal photos of this video to show the childs shorts are from the home. This information is from the second document dump that they released, please look at this and decide for your self.

Most of the “dream team” charge at least $400.00 an hour. Casey has almost a dozen. For someone who hasn’t worked in years, she surely isn’t paying for it, nor is her family UNLESS THEY ARE MAKING DEALS RIGHT AND LEFT TO SELL PHOTOS, BOOKS, ARTICLES ETC…It is my understanding that until she has been proven guilty by a jury, she is still legally able to sell these things. Guess Baez is just taking advantage of this. Personally, I find it a horrendous way to make a quick buck from the sadistic murder of a precious, defenseless little child. I think Cindy, especially, feels “out of sight, out of mind” about little Caylee. It’s ALL about “the murderer” now, and how best to save her sick soul. Cindy is a liar, and as cold as her daughter.

This tells you something when the STATE itself gets suspicious and demands answers! Unlike the Defense Team, which has turned into a Circus Side-Show with Baez as the Ringmaster, they’re no Dummies. The personal and financial lucrativeness Baez has sought and is gaining is a crime in itself, and certainly does not prove his true and best interests lie in the “protection” of his Client, nor an innocent little girl who deserves to be remembered– not in a Movie laying on the ground in a bag, but with Dignity and Humility. Whether it’s Legal or not, I don’t know how they ALL can live with themselves in the shame of it.

If Baez has nothing to hide …then he needs to step up to the plate, tell us where is the money coming from to pay these high profile legal experts, and SHOW US THE MONEY BAEZ AND CASEY!!!!
