Casey Anthony: Hearing Being Held Today In Civil Case
A hearing is scheduled for this morning to determine if a civil judge will delay Casey Anthony’s deposition in a defamation lawsuit against her until after her criminal trial.
From WFTV:
Casey Anthony’s defense team wants to avoid having her testify in a civil trial that could be used against her in a criminal trial.
Attorney John Morgan is representing a woman named Zenaida Gonzalez who says Casey has ruined her name and her life after she claimed a woman by the same name had her daughter Caylee.
John Morgan would be allowed to question Casey about details of the case during the deposition and any answers she gives could potentially be used against Casey in her murder trial.
However, Casey does have the constitutional right against self incrimination, which means she could plead the Fifth Amendment and not answer Morgan’s questions.Zenaida Gonzalez said she wants to clear her good name. Casey Anthony told investigators that it was her nanny named Zenaida Gonzalez who took her child.
A few days after the detective’s interview with Casey became public, Zenaida, a single mother of six said her boss fired her from her cleaning job because of the intense publicity.
“I didn’t ask to be in this position, i like my life the way it was,” said Zenaida.

Not that I wouldn’t like to see Casey punished for everything possible, but Zenaida was unemployed when Casey mentioned her, so I don’t really see that she’s lost anything. I’d think the notoriety would actually help. I mean, it ought to get her some interviews, etc…
Moreover, despite Casey’s description matching her car and two of her children, and the supposed coincidence of Zenaida having toured the model aparatment, which is just downstairs from the apartment Casey indicated—Casey never identified this woman as the Zenaida Gonzalez in question, in fact denied it was her.
So, I don’t think the case will stand, and I don’t think it should stand. I think this lawyer suggested the idea to Zenaida, telling her she might as well make some money off this thing, like everyone else involved…

I think Casey should burn not only for being a dumb bimbo but for takin the life of her beautiful daughter and making a joke of it. There are millions of couples that can’t even make kids and she takes her baby life just to go party. I never wished bad upon anyone but now I wish she get the utimate punishment lethal injection not only for killing her sweet baby girl but also for making all moms of the world look bad.

Ok, I think Casey should give us the real Zenaida if she wants to squeeze around this Zenaida. No phone calls, no phone numbers, no apartment? This Zenaida is an easy target and was her target, because she’s poor and hispanic. I say, “Cry foul! Cry Racism!” Didn’t Cindy A. not like hispanics? She’d fall for Zani as the bad-guy

Lots of circumstantial evidence that certainly does place guilt at casey’s door. But what happened to innocent til proven guilty. The media and most of the general have her in an electric chair already. Come on people and listen to the actual trial before you pass your judgements.
