Amateur Golfer Records Five Aces in One Week

I’ve been playing for 25 years and only have 2 that entire time! Playing on the El Paso Golf Club in Central Illinois, amateur Curt Hocker has recorded five holes-in-one in the last week alone, including two this past Saturday. In this year alone, Hocker has seven aces, five on par-4s, and two other double eagles.

From the Associated Press:

“I don’t know what to think,” said Hocker, who works in the club’s pro shop. “After each one I say it’s over, and it keeps happening.”

Friends and family, 15 of whom have witnessed Hocker’s strokes of luck while playing with him, are equally mystified.

“It’s incomprehensible this kind of luck could happen, but it does happen,” said El Paso pro Steve Fulton. “There are other things in life that have been just as weird and eerie that have happened. What are the odds?”

Hocker said he’s just glad that his club membership comes with “hole-in-one insurance.”

That “insurance” means the club — and not Hocker — has to honor the golf tradition of buying everyone in the clubhouse a drink after an ace is made.

“I think the golf course is getting mad at me for all the drinks,” Hocker said. “It’s hard to talk about, but it’s awesome to have it happen.”

Even if you played from the Ladies or Senior Tees ,this is not possible!! How can you honestly try and BS the Golfing community by coming up with such a lame story. 7 aces and 5 of them were on Par4s! 2 words for ya, YEAH RIGHT!! Maybe on PS2 or Golden Tee, but not in real life. The closest i have ever seen to anything like this was Lee Janzen and Scott McCarron going back to back aces in like 1999 or 2000, and they are tour pros!! You my friend are a fake. Sounds like the story of the 10 year old kid a few years ago that also had no validation!!!

I’m an honest person, a member at El Paso, and play with Hocker all the time. Even pulled two out of the cup, this year and last, that he hit. This kid can play, no question. He fires the ball at the stick and that is the truth. If you question it, come to El Paso and put your talk on the course and watch. Now doing what he has done is without words. But I’ve been on 18 and seen his tee shot roll through the green a couple times. And if you know the hole, the tee shot to get there in one is not easy. Dog leg left surrounded by trouble, and a blind shot. Say what you want to, but don’t doubt things because your mind can’t handle it. Crazy things happen all the time. Oh, and he has almost 20 different witnesses for these during that crazy week.

hey, I have played with Curt and he hits some ureal shots, when you hit the ball as long and straight as Curt, anything can happen, this is unreal, I have pulled 2 of his shots out of the hole also. The course is not a joke come play it some time, even better, call the pro and he will set up a game with curt, and the shot he hit when the news crew was there? it landed next to the flag on 9 and rolled 10 feet past. I was playin with him that day. Oh yea, I am also getting tyred of paying for those hole in ones at the end of the round.

Here’s a funny, when Curt aced #1, we tied total because his partner ha a 7 with Curts and Curt had 1, with a total of 8, sorry Rick.

funny how i just read an article published in chicagoland golfer noting that 27 of the 28 so called “witnesses” said they never actually saw him hit a hole-in-one… not to mention one journalist had a lie detector set up for him to take and he backed out… man up and take the lie detector or grow a pair and admit that it was a joke
