Dunn Deal? Diamondbacks Acquire Reds Slugger
Cincinnati Reds slugger Adam Dunn appears to be on his way to the Arizona Diamondbacks after being claimed off of waivers. This would be a huge addition for the Diamondbacks lineup and for a team that is fighting for the top spot in the National League West.
From MLB.com:
The D-backs acquired outfielder Adam Dunn from the Reds on Tuesday in exchange for Minor League pitcher Dallas Buck and two players to be named later.
Arizona claimed Dunn on waivers and was able to work out a trade with Cincinnati.
Dunn, who is eligible for free agency after making $13 million this year, figures to boost an Arizona offense that has been an Achilles’ heel at times for the club this year.
Enjoy the power boost, Arizona, but be prepared for the strikeouts to pile up at the same time.
